Hi Guys,
Some nice stuff.
Something you may not have thought about is that you seem to have too many names for this place.
First I received an email from James & Kyle of JGStudios (James & Kyle [james@jgstudios.com])
Next, the top banner of your page is called C4Depot Collections.
Your website address is C4D3Dmodels.com.
The PayPal receipt is provided by the Marketing Arts Group.
It’s quite confusing.
I think it would help your marketing if you adopted a single identity and it would reduce the confusion for us when we receive emails from so many different names – only to work out they are coming from the same place.
Thanks
Thanks for your comment. It’s nice to get a comment that isn’t spam about pharmaceuticals.
You are 100% correct, and at least one of the things you pointed out I can fix right away. The reasons why this is so confusing is extremely boring, but would be a fantastic audio track to listen to if you have insomnia. We’ll be working to consolidate everything under C4Depot over time.
Are you reading our minds? Real Weather is in the pipeline, but not until Infinite Dunes is released. I’m really happy you think this is a needed product. We plan to have rain, snow, falling leaves, lightning, and the hard part; a tornado. I’m not sure if people could tell the difference between sleet, hail and rain unless we could get the hail to bounce. It is coming to a C4Depot website near you! Cheers!
Great work on the Sky Studio! Have already started playing with and it’s fun and really easy to use. The available sky presets are very nice, too. Perfect for quickly setting up environment renders!
While I seem to be able to use Sky Studio in R14 Broadcast, I’m getting an error message each time I add one of the setups because I don’t have the Physical Sky. Which is why I’m wondering: a) am I able to really take advantage of Real Sky Studio in Broadcast, and b) might be possible to add setups/modify the existing setups for Broadcast users?
about 60% of the time i use the real sky studio my perspective camera gets completely messed up. the grid, objects, sky, anything, really – it all disappears. i can still see things in the alternate views (objects, etc.) but my perspective view is permanently destroyed – all i see is a single horizontal line that is unaffected by camera controls. this also results in the project being unusable from that point forward. any ideas?
A few times with Infinite Ocean I had that problem, but it stopped occurring and I never figured out what it was. The key is to learn your camera undo keys. On a Mac, it is Command — Shift—Z. If you ever manipulate the camera and end up with something really weird, just use the camera undo keys which will only undo the camera view, nothing else. This will restore your camera and you can keep working. For some reason, this problem has never happened to me again since the first time I experienced it. Are you on a Mac or PC?
Hi Guys,
I’m looking at purchasing infinite ocean and I have a question:
Does it come with any shaders for the ocean? Can you point me in the right direction to create the bowbwave and the wake behind the ocean cruise liner in your sample video? Can infinite ocean do that?
Thanks !
John
I think I may have already answered this, but for the sake of the public blog, here goes again.
I discussed this at length with Kyle and we’ve decided to upgrade Infinite Ocean with some kind of additional functionality to include the bow wake you talked about. We will also be releasing a tutorial on it as well. Great suggestion!
Sorry, one more thing I forgot to ask … Does the sky studio plugin have a way to position the sun manually (like with the moon?) I haven’t seen any controls for that in the demo video by Kyle. Or is it using the physical sky which unfortunately doesn’t allow to modify the sun position other than by changing the geolocation or time/date (very frustrating to be honest 🙁
Real Sky Studio does have this ability, but in some cases, the sun is part of the HDRI background. We will be releasing a new product with a completely different architecture which will give you more capacity to modify a visible sun, but it will not have the capacity to create volumetric clouds.
I think I’ve already answered this via e-mail, but for others reading the comment, yes, you can manually reposition the sun, but you don’t want to have the sun in the photographic background in one part of your scene and the illumination coming from some other place. You can tweak this to some degree without causing a surreal effect, but it probably isn’t a good idea to push it to extremes. There are controls in the Real Sky Studio tab to position the sun without going into the physical sky settings. There is no need to use any physical sky parameters at all; they are all contained within the Real Sky Studio sliders.
The light source in REAL SKY can be moved independently from the sun position and the whole sky can be rotated, but you can’t change the position of the sun in the photograph.
We will be creating another sky plugin later on this year which will be for people who want one sky and the ability to create a stop-motion animation effect. We will make a hybrid system which will include the moon from REAL SKY STUDIO, and the seamless morphing functionality of a physical sky. It will NOT have awesome volumetric clouds, as this is the trade-off when moving to the physical sky.
We will also be updating Real Sky with a fog shader to reduce the contrast along the horizon line.
Hey there!!!! man i really love the Infinite Ocean plugin. I was wondering that if we can also achieve Water Trails (at back of the Cruise) by using this cool plugin or hv to cheat some other way.
Hi Usman: We will be releasing this very soon. It will be part of the new Infinite Ocean package. It will be a free upgrade if you already own Infinite Ocean.
Hi Stephane: Sorry I missed your comment. I installed an anti-spam filter on the site and I only read your comment now. I have sent you Real Sky Studio. Please let me know if you did not receive it. Again, sorry for the delay.
One day after buying the items, i get download link. I’m happy with.
So if some buy infinite or 3d object : wait one day before get a downlod link.
I have infinite ocean. It work tiptop on C4D R13 studio. I get a pack with the videos tutorials, the plugin and the boat and buoy as see on the demo.
Same with infinite dune….
Thank you so much to the team. Keep going on your good job.
Infinite Ocean has been really valuable to me creating seascapes and animations of boats moving across the sea, just wanted to say thanks and that I really recommend the plugin to others. An area for development could be the boat-water interaction – some more control over the bow wave and the trail left by the boat in the water could improve the plugin. But it is still excellent and great value for money. Thanks
I purchased a few of your plugins and really like them. Wanted to ask if there’s a possibility to develop an “Infinite City” plugin down the road? If this could be done and the buildings look realistic, it would be awesome! Cheers…
I’m having problems with the moon in the sky package… it keeps jerking around in the final animation. The preview render looks smooth, but then the final render it will jerk out of position briefly, and then go back to where it was.
Real Sky Studio is having an update very soon. The new release should solve your issue. I’ll let you know as soon as it’s online. Could be this weekend.
I’m trying to do a fly by on a scene with infinite ocean and a boat moving on a straight line. I’m having trouble animating the camera. It looks like the ocean camera cannot be animated as it has links to the expresso scripts of Infinite Ocean. How do I ho about animating a camera flying around the boat ? Your quick reply would be appreciated as it is urgent.
Thanks Juan
i’m working with c4d r13 and i get only sharp edges with Infinite Canyons.Any way to make it look more natural?I hope it’s compatible with r13 as you have not mentioned that it doesn’t.
If we find an incompatibility, we will certainly let you know. If you find something doesn’t work with your version, we’ll issue a refund. So far, we’ve only found an incompatibility with one product which we haven’t released yet.
I purchased the studio kit pro yesterday but was directed away from the site to PayPal. I didn’t see the opportunity to download after I purchased. Does the download link come later?
Hi Mark. I know, the shopping cart module is awkward. There is no download button, but rather a link which is sent to you via e-mail. It frequently goes into your spam folder, so look for an e-mail from marketingartsgroup.com instead of c4depot. I’ll send you the link manually.
Hi,i’m using Infinite Ocean and Canyon for an animation. What is the secret of getting rid of the flickering in the canyon material and the island material?
In the island material the specular channel causes the flickering, highlights appear and disappear in the next frame. As for the canyon material,i haven’t found out yet.
thank you
Hi Sahara: Are you using global illumination? If so, flickering happens whether you use our products or not. Please send your scene file to support@C4Depot.com. Can you post an example of your video on YouTube? In the meantime, I’ll ask Kyle if he has come across this. You can see from the demo video that we didn’t encounter any flickering.
Hi,
thank you for your reply.I’m not using GI.I’m using Real Sky Studio that’s why i’m a bit surprised of the flickering.Anyway i’ll send you the file.
At first, I couldn’t see any flickering, but I can see small details in the distance appear to exhibit this. This should be solvable by increasing your subdivisions from 4 to 5 in the Infinite Canyons interface. I would also recommend increasing your ambient light in your scene. Increasing subdivisions will slow down rending, but it should help significantly.
I’ve currently rendered 25 frames using the higher subdivisions and I see no flickering.

Hi,
thank you very much for your help.
‘ I would also recommend increasing your ambient light in your scene’
Do you mean the ‘Sky Shadow samples’ setting or just the ‘Ambient Brightness’ in Real Sky Studio ?
Hi Addrian: You can get them all super cheap right now in the BUNDLES area. We can’t include them all in one zip file because it would be too large. Cheers!
Hi there,

I Can only comment on Infinite Ocean – It is incredible. realistic, customisable, detailed and seems to be pretty light weight for what you can achieve. hey guys-
love the studio pro…lots of variety and very versatile. It will definitely come in handy.
I was wondering if there is a way to make the lights unseen by camera in the preset studios without going into expresso.
Hi Orin:
Yes, go into the object viewer and turn the visibility OFF for the softbox or any element you choose. I’ll send you a screenshot.
Thanks
Jamie
is there a digital download for purchase?
Yes Sesh, there most certainly is. Need to purchase to download with the exception of the free products.
Cheers

Can you guys make an “Add the weather plug in” with rain, snow, wind, Hail, sleet, and lightning ?
That would be awesome……

Real Wealther would will be a separate product. Thanks for your interest.

What can we expect for the end of this year?
Just so I can budget and plan….Though I wish you guys had a pack that included all infinite pugins :0
But yeah, and maybe the prices unless they will all be 30$-40$
Hi Addrian: You can get them all super cheap right now in the BUNDLES area. We can’t include them all in one zip file because it would be too large. Cheers!
Ah cmon now,,why are the prices at 50$+
I was hoping to at least buy 3 of these things for 30$ -_-
Whelp looks like Imma wait some 6 months =_=
Hi Adrian: You can get the bundle pricing now. Just add the stuff you want to the cart and watch it calculate your discount.
Hi there,
I’m interested in buying infinite canyons and oceans they look pretty useful. I was reviewing the videos (which have been very informative) however I couldn’t figure out if it would be possible to use C4D’s MoGraph Cloner to place objects (plants, trees, rocks etc) on the surface of the canyons.. effectively a section of the canyon that would be like a jungle. Sorry for not seeing your question earlier. You don’t need a license. However, we can’t indemnify you from any third parties like Apple.

Hi, i’m using Infinite Mountains. I was trying to increase the ‘field of view’ in the Infinite Camera settings, but some parts of the mountains in the edge of the screen are missing. Is there a way to increase the field of view?
Hi Otto:
Sorry for missing your question. You can scale the landscape mesh on the X axis. That will put all the mountains inside the field of view. I haven’t tried rendering that way, but it will accomplish what you’re trying to do.
Thanks
James
Hi Otto:
Sorry for missing this comment all month. The only way I can think of doing this would be to stretch the mesh to cover the adjusted field of view. This might produce some unexpected results, as I have not tried this, but that should do it.

Hey guys love your work, I got a question for Infinite Ocean before i buy it.
Is it possible to export it as a .obj sequence and does it work with Riptide Pro?
thanks
Hi Supo:
I’m sorry, but we’ve never worked with Riptide Pro. Although Cinema 4D can export models in obj format, it is not designed to export to Maya, so if that is your intent, I would say “no”.
Thanks
James
So far, loving infinite ocean! Great product. However, I’m running into an issue with my renders- the tips of my waves have some jitter on them. Thought it could be an aliasing issue but after cranking up my anti-aliasing quality, I’m still running into the same issue. It looks like actual geo displacement causing small ripples on the wave tips. Tried turning down the “Tiny” and “Small” as well as “wind” but no change. Any idea what could be causing this issue?
Hi Arib:
I’m sorry I missed your comment until now. Which version of Infinite Ocean are you using. You should have version 1.5.1
Please send your scene file and a rendering to support@c4depot.com.
Thanks
James
Hey, just recently bought infinite ocean and started digging into it to learn more about it.
Going to use it for 3d videos for E-Learning.
Noticed that you have placed the huge boat model in the standard ocean generator.
I wonder if you could make a clean version of the generator, so i dont get any of the boats, boueys and textures when i load it.
Having to clean it up everytime i load it wont work for me.
– Jakob
Hi Jacob:
Thanks for your comment. The standard ocean venerator does not have a boat in it. The icon with the boat is the boat and wake version.
Cheers
James
Hi guys, I was wondering how you can create a seamless loop using infinite ocean 1.5? (by the way I love this plugin, great job!!!)
Thank you,
-Nicolas
Hi Nicholas: I can’t think of an easy way off the top of my head, particularly if you want to get the timing down to something specific. The whole displacer would have to be torn apart. The best thing would be to try and do it in post by pushing pixels around using the liquify tool in Photoshop. Not easy, but easier.
I attend Ringling College for Art and Design, and Major in Motion Design.
Do you offer academic discounts?
Thanks.
Hi Lon:
Hmmm. What sort of discount are you looking for?
Cheers
James
